[She was going to make this a voice-only message, but her muddled mind doesn't bother to doublecheck. So, anyone can see her in her fully glory.

Rydia, to put it mildly, doesn't look well. Her cheeks are brightly flushed, her gaze somewhat unfocused, and dizziness has taken hold as well, evidenced by her heavy reliance on that wall as she wobbles over toward somewhere in her house. Hopefully her bed, though given her stubbornness, that's no guarantee.

When she speaks up, her voice is rather lacking its usual firm tone, fading in and out just like her coherence.]

Porom...I don't think can help. I'm sorry. I'd send someone, but...most of the town is affected--

[Sway. She manages to brace herself against the wall. That's better.

...what was she doing again? Oh, right. Messages.]

Golbez, you're [still irritating--no, wait, that wasn't the message]...I talked to Leviathan. There's something you'll want to know....

[...but it will have to wait. Rydia has become one with the wall...and then the floor. She slumps against it, nearly giving in to the urge to rest right there, but one thing stands out sharply enough for her to say it before she forgets.]

Cuore...please, someone watch her?

[She fumbles to turn the device off, only she ends up just dropping it to the ground instead. It shows it at an angle as she closes her eyes, shivering as her fever rises.]

Rydia?! ...nearly everyone in Mist? Does the village even have a clinic?

[Freaking out. Just a little.]

...you don't look so good. Get yourself to bed, okay?

[So she tried. She really did. But she has no idea how you're actually supposed to make tea hot. An hour or so after the message goes out, Cuore wanders in to Rydia's bedroom carrying a tray. On the tray is:

- One scorch-marked cup, containing lukewarm water and several burned tea leaves.
- One bowl of what Cuore seems to consider soup, cold water with small lumps of cheese, vegetables and leftover cake in it (and a marble, to make it taste like fun).
- Two slices of scorched bread, spread unevenly with butter and borken in places where the butter knife didn't cooperate.
- A glass of water with flowers picked from outside in it. (Possibly the one thing she's done right.)

There's the sharp taste of magic on the 'tea' and the toast.]

[Mumbling.]

Not an official one. We never really needed it before. There are herbalists among us, but....

[She doesn't open her eyes, mumbling a response.]

I'm getting there, don't worry.

[Eventually.]

[Rydia, cocooned in the covers, stirs and opens her eyes a touch.]

...Cuore? What d'you have there?

[Oh yes, she picks up on the magic. Someday, she'll teach Cuore how to make tea and toast without it. But not today. Even lifting her head a little brings a new bout of dizziness.]

You got the disease as well? First Kain, now this!

I can't make it there myself but- I'll send one of my students out, if none of the healers are close enough.

[Slowly, she tries to sit up, not wanting to ignore Cuore's efforts even if she's unsure about eating at all. An attempt to do just that by propping her pillow up a little takes all her energy, and she sags against it.]

Those are pretty flowers....

...I don't know. Plenty of people in town were getting sick, last time I checked....

'Sokay. I'll see if there's anyone nearby who can take her.

[Yep, still irritating. In fact, he's purposefully not using video for his response. He is responding, at least, because she did contact him about something important. After their last conversation, he is inclined to keep their conversation as brief as possible, but she looks too sick to lecture.]
