( the linkshell clicks on as it falls to the ground, as a pair of white shoes and pink leggings come running out from the edge. it looks like -- she's running towards a pair of monsters, and as she gets further away from the communicator, the rest of her comes into view. long pink hair fasted into a ponytail on the side, bouncing back and forth with every stride )

I need your help! Let's go! ( she calls out; almost as though she's expecting someone -- or something to pop out of nowhere. but there's no sign of anything like that... ) Huh? What's going on? They won't answer me anymore?! ( whatever didn't happen... is apparently a cause for alarm. but as one of the goblins lunges forward to strike, she dodges at the last minute )

Well Mog... I'm not sure if you can hear me, but it looks like it's just you and me! ( that sword she was carrying a moment ago seems to shift seamlessly into a bow as she stops in her tracks, and pulls back on the string ) Let's show 'em what we've got!

( she has the same question in mind... ) You know Mog? ( she pauses -- then frowns, holding up her weapon ) It seems like he's not responding, though.

[Okay, that just makes her more confused.]

...a weapon? The Mog I know is a moogle. I'm sorry, I must have been mistaken.

That's right. ( she nods ) Well, usually he's a moogle, at least. But it doesn't look like he's able to transform out of this shape. At least for the time being...

[She does her best to try and wrap her head around that, but it's still odd.]

Maybe one of the other moogles around will know what to do...but I'm not sure. They don't transform like that, at least not that I've seen.

To tell you the truth, the first time I saw him even I thought he wasn't exactly real! ( more like a toy... but then, moogles weren't exactly a hot commodity where she comes from... ) You're right though, maybe one of the other moogles will be able to help. Now if I could just find one...

Hm...where are you? Is there a town nearby?

Yeah. ( she nods ) It was a place called Mysidia. That's where I first landed.

Oh! Oh, good.

[She smiles, relieved.]

I've been there before. The people were very helpful. There's a woman with hair like yours, called Porom. She seems to be the leader, at the moment. I'm sure she can help.

Porom? So that was her name... Thanks. I'll try to track her down.

Also, I couldn't help buy notice... it doesn't seem like Cocoon is in the sky anymore, either... ( from her tone apparently this isn't exactly the best news... )

...Cocoon?

[Blank look.]

Yeah. It used to be supported by a large crystal pillar. ( oh man... just how far into the future... or the past had she gone this time? ) Unless... is this actually Cocoon we're on? ( uh oh... if that was the case, maybe she'd said too much already... )

[Terra shakes her head.]

No. I hate to tell you this, but you're on another world. This place is called Earth, or the Blue Planet. There isn't any place called Cocoon here.

The Blue... Planet? ( she seems genuinely surprised... was there something special about that gate that brought her here? none of them had ever led to a different world entirely... at least, not like this... and judging from your lack of surprise she can only guess -- ) It sounds like I'm not the only one in this sort of situation...

Well...yes. This isn't my world, either. It's happened to a lot of us, though we still don't know the reason behind it. And to add to it, some of the people from this world are missing. It's like we switched places....

( she's quiet as she listens... it's a bit to take in, but -- well, stranger things have happened hadn't they? ) You know... it almost sounds like it might be a paradox.

A...paradox?

Yeah. ( hmm. how to explain this in the least confusing manner... ) Where I came from just before this, there were a lot of -- things going on with the timeline. Sometimes people went missing, almost misplaced I guess you could say. That sort of sounds... like what's going on here. But I've never seen it on as large a scale as this before.

Hm...not to mention that the mix-up includes different worlds as much as different times.

Those missing people, were they ever found?

Some of them... had already moved on, or at least something like it. ( she couldn't help but think of some of the rubies of grief that they had encountered in their journey... ) But... I don't believe that all of them were lost for good. My sister... she was one of them, too. But she's still alive! I know she is...

Maybe she'll arrive here...or has, already? It's possible. What's her name?

Lightning. ( and then... her attention seems to drift away a bit... she knows lightning's in valhalla -- or at least she's supposed to be -- )

[Her brow furrows.]

Lightning...? I know that name....

My--Kain, he mentioned fighting alongside a woman with that name, in the place we were before we came here. We haven't seen her in this world yet, but--

You mean there's a chance he might know her? ( she can't hide her excitement -- ) Where can I find him? And the place you were in... was it -- Valhalla?

Valhalla....

[She frowns in thought, then shakes her head.]

It was another world, one without a name, but a place that was the battlefield between two gods. They summoned people from other worlds to be their warriors. That war is finally over, but....

[She bites her lip.]

We're in the chocobo forest near Baron.

A battlefield between gods... ( actually, that sounds a lot like valhalla, as far as serah is concerned... ) And Lightning... she was part of that war?

Maybe I can find a way to Baron somehow. According to this map it's just across the sea... I wonder if there's a ship that could take me there.
